Weyermann's Munich Malt Type 1 is a specialty malt highly valued for its rich malty taste. It has a strong diastatic power despite its color and can be used up to a ratio of 100% of the grind. It provides robust malty notes, roundness in the mouth and a taste of light caramel, honey and bread. Munich Malt Type 1 is commonly used in ales and dark lager recipes, especially Munich lagers, several styles of German Bock and Festbier.
