Lallemand - Munich Classic – Wheat Beer Ale Yeast (11 g)
Lallemand LalBrew Munich Classic™ dry yeast is a strain that was selected from the Doemens yeast bank for the fermentation of Bavarian wheat beers, also known as Hefeweizen or Weissbier.
It imparts fruity and spicy aromas typical of German wheat beers. Depending on the fermentation temperature, clove (16-19C) or banana (19-22C) notes will develop simultaneously. It is generally advisable to start fermentation around 17C to let the temperature gradually rise to 19C in order to obtain the best results.
Lalbrew Munich Classic dry yeast can be used with a multitude of recipes and fermentation conditions, making it versatile for many traditional styles of wheat beer. A true top-fermenting yeast, LalBrew Munich Classic™ can traditionally be skimmed off the top of open fermentation vats. Possible styles to brew with LalBrew Munich Classic™ include Hefeweizen/Weissbier, Dunkelweizen or Weizenbock.
