Unlike rolled oats, Thomas Fawcett's Oat Malt contains all the enzymes needed to convert starch into sugar. An addition of 5-10% Thomas Fawcett Oat Malt is recommended for dark beers like Stout or Porter as it will help round the beer while giving it a silky texture on the palate.
