Madagascar bourbon vanilla extract has strong vanilla aromas, accompanied by a fruity bouquet reminiscent of figs, as well as some chocolate notes. Bourbon vanilla pairs particularly well with the flavors of dark beers like Stouts or Porters.
The Madagascar bourbon vanilla extract is made in Quebec from bourbon vanilla pods, coming from the property of Jean-Claude Mena and Mounirah Philibert, in the Sava region of Madagascar. This area, located in the far northeast of the country, is considered the "world capital" of vanilla.
This extract is not made from green vanilla, unlike the industrial process, because Colibri Vanille favors artisanal processing in the country of origin, in order to help and support the producers. All vanilla extracts are made from vanilla pods, perfectly ripened and laboriously hand-processed, as it should be to obtain an extract of the highest quality.
