Kohatu, or formerly HORT3829 is a hop native to New Zealand, developed by the "New Zealand Plant and Food Research hop breeding program" in 2011. Its intense aromas of fresh tropical fruits have attracted the attention of researchers. The Kohatu stands out well on its own by expressing its fruity side. In large quantities, it can create a real fruit punch in heavily hopped beers.
