African Queen hop comes from South Africa. It is the result of a cross between two other experimental varieties: 94US2/118 and 91J7/25, selected by SAB (South African Breweries).

African Queen hop contains a high alpha acid level and give off robust aromas of dark berries like blueberries and blackcurrants, but also sweet fruits like watermelon and currants.

Aromas: Blueberry, blackcurrant, watermelon, gooseberry.
