Columbus is Nugget descendant. It contains a lot of alpha aicds and is mainly used as a bittering hop. It is often associated to the term "CTZ", which refers to a trio of three extremely similar hops (Columbus, Tomahawk, Zeus). 

Aromas : Black pepper, licorice, citrus, resinous, acrid.
