Briess Crystal 20L is a crystallized and drum roasted malt. It helps improve foam hold, viscosity and provides light golden hues to the must with a sweet taste similar to that of candy. It evokes flavors of sweet caramel.
Suggested usage levels based on styles.
3-7% for a balanced pilsner.
5-10% for lagers ranging from California Common, Vienna, Bock to dark lagers.
5-15% for a multitude of beers, from pale ales to bitter IPAs, porters and stouts.
