Briess Crystal 60L is a crystallized and drum-roasted malt. It helps improve foam hold, viscosity and provides a golden hue to the wort with a sweet, candy-like taste. It evokes pronounced flavors of caramel.
Suggested levels of use according to styles.1-3% for a balanced pilsner.
5-10% in lagers ranging from Vienna and Oktoberfest to dark lagers.
5-10% for a multitude of beers, ranging from pale ales to bitter IPAs, including porters, stouts and barley wine.
10-15% in various styles, such as doppelbock and barley wine.
