Taiheke hop comes from New Zealand, but its genetics are very American. It was first known as USDA 56013 back in 1956. His genetics include the English Fuggle as well as a male plan derived from the Russian hop Serebrianka. It was the first hops to be commercialised by the USDA-ARS program in 1972. This hop is highly regarded for its powerful aromas of grapefruit, lime and sweet fruits.
