Whirlfloc

Whirlfloc is a semi-refined fining agent derived from the seaweed Eucheuma cottonii. It is used during the boiling phase. Whirlfloc has a negative electrical charge that attracts positively charged proteins, which improves compaction of proteins and other debris during hot breaking, improves beer clarity and extends filtration cycles without having to change filters. Whirlfloc looks like a beige tablet that dissolves quickly in boiling wort.

Dosage : Add 1/2 tablet per 25L 15 minutes from the end of boiling. A larger amount may be beneficial depending on the density of the wort and the types of malts or flakes used (wheat, oats, rye...)
