Developped by the Hop Breeding Company (HBC), Citra contains a high alpha acids and essential oils level, which probably make of it the most popular hop for IPA lovers. It gives grapefruit, melon, lime, passion fruit, mango and litchi flavours to the beer. Citra is mostly used at the end of boiling and at dry hop, where it can release to its best its strong fruity aromas.
