Developed by the Hop Breeding Company (HBC), Mosaic contains a high level of alpha acid and essential oils that provide unique and complex aromas that can lend themselves to a multitude of styles. Mosaic is the daughter of Simcoe and a male Nugget plant. The Mosaic name comes from the wide variety of flavors and aromas this hop is capable of producing. Along with Citra, Mosaic is currently one of the most popular hops on the market, especially for New England IPA type beers.
