Summit is the first dwarf hop to be marketed in the United States. Its high concentration of alpha acid makes it a good bittering agent but it also has powerful aromas of orange and grapefruit when used at the end of the boil. In high doses, Summit can give off notes of onion and garlic. Good harvest conditions also have a positive effect on the balance between citrus and onion aromas.
