Riwaka

Riwaka is one of New Zealand's most prized hop varieties and until recently it was simply impossible to get hold of it without having to fly there. Riwaka is a unique aroma hop with powerful citrus, passion fruit, lemon and tropical fruit notes.

First called D Saaz, Riwaka, codenamed "Brand 85.6-23", is a triploid hop variety with ancient genetics related to Saaz. This hop has almost double the total essential oils of the Saaz, so expect powerful aromas of citrus, pink grapefruit and tropical fruits. These lively and powerful aromas make Riwaka a first-rate choice for the elaboration of veiled IPA and Neipa.
